Northern Nursery is a specialist nursery in Skåne, in a small village outside Vellinge. We focus on tropical aroids and work primarily with Monstera, Alocasia, Philodendron and Anthurium. Our ambition is to deliver consistent and traceable quality to companies looking for reliable deliveries, while we welcome private individuals who want to invest in healthy and long-lived plants.
The business grew out of a long-standing interest in how leaves develop under Nordic light. We have built a growing environment where each plant has time to develop strong roots and stable growth. Our mother plants are carefully selected and we propagate mainly vegetatively to preserve the desired characteristics. Each specimen undergoes a clear quality control before it leaves the greenhouse, giving both retailers and private customers a safe start.
Sustainability for us means, above all, a long lifespan for the plants. We work with airy substrates that benefit roots, efficient irrigation and good circulation. Materials are reused where reasonable and packaging is chosen with a focus on protection and resource awareness. We document how different clones react in our environment and adapt care to minimize waste. When we recommend species, we base our recommendations on how they behave in Nordic homes, not just how they look in pictures.
Our range combines sought-after classics with selected new products that are tested on a small scale before being made more widely available. Whether you want to fill a store shelf with a uniform size or are looking for a unique eye-catcher for a project, we can develop proposals that fit your design, budget and schedule.
We at Northern Nursery want to be a calm and competent partner for those of you who work with green interior design, and a reliable supplier for those of you who want to develop your home with tropical leaves. Please contact us for a current range list, price list and upcoming delivery windows, or for advice on choosing a plant for your particular environment. We look forward to cultivating long-term relationships and equally long-lived plants.
